Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra recently celebrated his 79th birthday while shooting for the Punjabi film ‘Second Hand Husband’ in Jalandhar.
On Monday 8th December, the much-loved actor had a gala time with the crew of his new venture, including actor-singer Gippy Grewal, Govinda’s daughter Tina Ahuja and Geeta Basra along with others.
Dharmendra was overwhelmed with all the love pouring in and commented: “I feel blessed to be with all these great people around.”
The cast and crew also planned a dinner for Dharmendra, and we hear a bigger party is on the cards once he wraps up the shoot and reaches Mumbai.
“The family is planning to celebrate in full swing. The event will have a huge star presence,” a source said.
Dharmendra added: “The best gift is well-wishers and friends, and I get that every year. And if you say I am away from home on my birthday, I will not agree. I am in Punjab and this is my real home.”
The Deol family’s birthday wishes poured in, including those from his sons Sunny, Bobby, wife Hema Malini and daughters Esha and Ahana.
Hema posted birthday wishes on Twitter as well, saying: “Dharamji’s bday today & my thoughts are all with him as he is shooting in Punjab (sic).”
