It’s official! Veganism is on the rise in the UK and the new freely available guide to UK vegan events demonstrates this in abundance with around 80 UK vegan festivals already listed for 2017 and more still to be announced.
The UK Vegan Festivals guide features events from almost every city in the UK as veganism continues to grow at astonishing rates.
With vegan food sales up 1,500% year on year (London Economist) and 360% rise in the number of vegans in the UK over the last decade, the growth is expected to continue to accelerate with vegan festivals playing a big part behind this rapid expansion.
The guide features a number of event – organisers who work both independently and collectively to produce a big range of tasty day-outs.
The guide is published by VegfestUK, which has a a long-standing policy of promoting all the vegan events rather than just their own.
“It’s what’s known in the trade as Collaborative Leadership,” say VegfestUK organisers.
“We’re big fans of all the other vegan events and we’re really happy to promote them all for free.
“We love seeing more and more people going vegan. It’s better for them, the planet and for the animals of course too.
“For us as organisers, we welcome more vegan events and we are so pleased, albeit not totally surprised in how much the scene has grown since we first started 18 years ago.
Karin Ridgers MC for VegfestUK and Founder of VeggieVision TV adds: “Vegan festivals are suitable for everyone not just for non meat eaters.
“Food lovers, vegan curious, families, environmental and animal lovers – well everyone is welcome and their feedback afterwards is incredible.
