Managing Director Jasbir Wouhra of East End Foods Plc, yet again, arranged two musical events this year in aid of charities, raising over £32,000 for flood victims and children’s hospices.
The first event was at the University of Birmingham on 25th August 2018, to raise money for the Acorn Children’s Hospice in Birmingham. The children’s charity provides vital care for life-limited and life-threatened children and gives support for their families across the West Midlands. Mr Wouhra and his team raised £7,740 for Acorn.
A second musical event took place on 5th September 2018, at the Prestige Banqueting Hall in Smethwick, to raise money for Karela flood victims in India.
Severe floods affected the south Indian state of Kerala in August, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. Some 483 people died, while over 1.3 million people have been displaced and living in squalid conditions. Mr Wouhra’s fundraising saw a generous £25,000 come together for Kerala floods victims.
“We were privileged to have SnS Music group which is headed by well-known Music Director, arranger and designer from Bollywood,” commented Mr Wouhra.
“We thank all the people who donated money towards these good causes. This has encouraged us to doing further such events to help various good causes.”
