Award-winning Indian filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari took to her Instagram handle to pen down a heartfelt note on the end of her journey of 1.5 years with the legendary Indian tennis duo of Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes, marking the wrap-up of their shooting schedule for ‘Break Point’.
The sports docu-drama web series will stream on ZEE5 Global, the largest streaming platform for South Asian content. Date of release is yet to be announced.
‘Break Point’ presents the untold story of the titans of tennis legends Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, their partnership and the break-up.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker duo Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, the series will be based on the on-court glory and off-court lives of the living legends.
Expressing her emotions on the wrap up of Break Point, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari wrote, “A year and half journey with @mbhupathi and @leanderpaes comes to an end to only begin a new journey of our friendship for life. First of many as an evolving producer.
@niteshtiwari22 and I co – directing for the first time. Writing and documenting a story of two extremely talented champions in the form of a docu drama. Again a first for Nitesh, Piyush and me.”
