A free family fun day organised by and after school club went down a treat whilst showcasing the outreach work they do.
A2Z Learning Centre’s event lived up to its expectations, it was full of joy, excitement, fun, and laughter and what made this event even more special was the fact that it was completely free for families who are struggling through these hard times.
As the families participated in the activities, it was clear to see the efforts put in by A2Z Learning Centre staff.
The activities targeted all age groups and were designed with the whole family in mind. The centre held family challenges such as the spaghetti challenge and sudoku, the competitive spirit was definitely in the air as the families encouraged each other and worked together for a chance to win.
Following on the from the first ever Great Bradford Bake Off 2021, which A2Z Learning Centre hosted with Sandy Docherty as an ambassador, it was great to see the Star Baker Manaahil join as a judge with Sandy and lead on the bake off. Both Manaahil and Sandy brought their own bakes and they went down a treat!.
The families were spoilt for choice with so many activities that were on offer, these included face painting, educational family experiments, a bouncy castle, kickboxing, 360 camera, Hop On Bike, RSPCA and Skincare by Huda Rasul. The fun day had many stalls ranging from delicious hot food to sweet treats.
The colourful balloons lit up the children’s faces as the balloon modeller, McBalloons, brought their favourite characters to life.
What was touching, was although it was a free event, voluntary charity boxes were placed for people to donate if they could for the Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal.
A grand total of £2133.17 has been raised so far, with donations are still coming in. As parents left the event, it touched our hearts to see how families dug deep into their pockets willingly and donated to the cause. It showed the spirit of the local Bradford community.
Amjad Khan, from A2Z Learning Centre, commented: “The key to our organisation’s success is because of its team, parents and children, at the centre our children are at the forefront of everything we do.
“We invest heavily back into the community as we believe it is events like the fun day that bring families and communities together.
“I would like to thank all the staff for helping to achieve the success of this event. As for all those who have donated, and even those who wish they could have donated but were unable to, we would like to thank you on behalf of those who are victims to the terrible earthquake.
“Finally, we would like to thank the community for attending and we hope to see you at our future events”.
