“God willing on Sunday 10th September 2023 I will be running the prestigious Great North Run (Half Marathon 13.1 Miles) for the third consecutive year in Newcastle.

I will be covering all the associated costs (race fee, hotel, travel & food) so that 100% of your donation goes to the stated cause.

Earlier, on 6th August despite illness and injury disruption, I ran the York 10K Run as part of my build up.

Now, on 25th October to 1st November, I will be going on a fully self-funded humanitarian aid trip to Uganda in Africa with Nelson-based registered charity, Hope for Mankind, who have a 100% donation policy. This is the same charity that is building my ‘Uganda Homes for the Poor’ Ramadan 2023 Project and the £75 water pumps of which I have had 188 built installed in the last two-years.

41% live in poverty in Uganda, and it’s amongst the poorest nations in the world with 75% of the 48 million population living in rural areas. Many live in straw roofed mud built homes which have no electricity, water or sanitation.

At least 20 million people do not even have access to clean water with much of Uganda is open water and swampland, which is undrinkable. This gives rise to water borne diseases.

With your support, I am hoping to raise at least £11,250 to provide 250 food parcels costing £45 each (Zakat applicable), weighing at least 35+Kg each. Each food parcel will last a poor family of five for at least one month. Each food parcel will contain: 10kg Flour, 10kg Rice, 5Kg Cooking Oil, 5Kg Beans, 2Kg Sugar, 1Kg Dow Flour, five packs of various biscuits, and one packet of juice powder.

Whilst out in Uganda, God willing, we will also be hoping to open Water Wells, provide community meals, sweets for children, clothes for orphans and the poor. We hope to visit Hope for Mankind’s Orphanage in the capital city, Kampala. I will also inspect the 36 new two-room homes that are currently being built in Uganda from my 10th Annual Ramadan 10K Run in Lincoln (April 2023) of which £59,711 was raised!”
