Sidharth Malhotra has proven once again that he is the best action hero in Bollywood and can commit to the role that makes us forget he is acting. With films like Aiyaary and Shehshaah under his belt, his next Yodha is an action thriller that takes you on a high-flying adventure in the sky.
The film is about Arun Katyal (Sidharth Malhotra) who wants to follow in his father’s footsteps (Ronit Roy) by joining Yodha; a special task force. However, due to a failed mission, the task force is disbanded. Arun finds himself on a hijack but his former coworkers and the government suspect him of planning the hijack as a form of revenge for the Yodha Task Force’s dismissal.
Malhotra always looks striking in a uniform. After Shershaah, the actor again plays a character willing to do anything to save his country. Sidharth is great playing Katyal with incredible passion, courage, and resilience. His performance shines, particularly in the gripping action sequences. Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani play pivotal roles in the movie and they both shine respectively.
The twisted narrative, characters and action sequences make a great escapist experience and Sidharth Malhotra’s action adventure sucks you in from start to finish.
