The cast of Abhishek Bachchan’s highly anticipated film, I Want To Talk, gathered together for the music launch of the film. Abhishek Bachchan shared his transformative journey of playing a character with a distinctive physical appearance. Standing beside a poster of his on-screen persona, featuring a noticeable belly, the actor humorously noted, “I’m not in this shape anymore. But the experience has been incredibly eye-opening. It’s been life-changing, and I hope we’ve been able to make a difference to the time you spend watching the film in theatres or at home.”

Known for his versatility, Abhishek candidly discussed the challenges of gaining weight for the role, joking, “Take my advice—don’t put on weight for a film, especially at my age. It’s much harder to lose it!” Despite the physical challenges, he emphasised the importance of stepping outside his comfort zone and collaborating with director Shoojit Sircar.

Reflecting on the creative process, he shared, “What I’m grateful to Shoojit Da for is the reminder to break free from routine. Many of us are caught up in the daily grind—whether it’s a corporate job, artistic pursuits, or something else. We often let life dictate how we move forward without questioning it. But sometimes, it’s worth saying, ‘Let’s try something new.’”

He continued, “Working on this film was a chance to explore something different, and when it clicks, there’s nothing more rewarding.”

The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. It captures the journey of Arjun (Bachchan), a man grappling with unresolved emotions and the burden of past regrets, as he embarks on a path of self-discovery following a life-altering surgery.

With an eclectic mix in the star cast of the legendary Johnny Lever, Abhishek Bachchan, Jayant Kriplani and newcomer Ahilya Bamroo, the moments captured in the trailer keeps you curious and craving for more. The film promises to take you on an unforgettable journey of life and the CHOICE of how we choose to live it.
Produced by Rising Sun Films and Kino Works, distributed overseas by Rising Star Entertainment, the film is set to be released in theatres worldwide on November 22nd 2024.
