The Royal Shakespeare Company’s multi-award-winning Matilda The Musical, inspired by Roald Dahl‘s beloved book, continues to captivate audiences worldwide. Following its sellout tour in 2018-2019, the global phenomenon is back on tour across the UK and Ireland from October 2025, celebrating 15 years on stage since its debut at the Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Having delighted over 12 million theatergoers in 100 cities across 17 countries, Matilda remains a “unique and unforgettable” (Rolling Stone) production with 101 international awards, including 24 for Best Musical.
Written by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, and directed by Matthew Warchus, Matilda tells the inspiring story of an extraordinary girl who uses her sharp mind and vivid imagination to rewrite her destiny.
The West End production, now in its 13th year at the Cambridge Theatre, continues to play to packed houses. New casting includes Angelica Scott, Anna Deikalo, Ava Posniak, and Sophia Saravanan sharing the title role of Matilda. Joining them are Tiffany Graves as Mrs. Wormwood, Neil McDermott as Mr. Wormwood, and Eve Norris as Miss Honey, with Kieran Hill continuing as Miss Trunchbull.
The new young company includes Pasquale Aben-Danan, Elyza Alderton, Blake Graham, and Amber Koduah-Hutchison, among others, alongside the existing talented cast.
The production features set and costume design by Rob Howell, choreography by Peter Darling, orchestrations by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker, and illusions by Paul Kieve.
