Keighley and Ilkley MP Kris Hopkins has met with local businesses at a networking event hosted by Keighley College
Representatives from more than 40 companies attended the gathering organised by Keighley BID as part of a series to promote local enterprise and encourage closer working relationships.
Mr Hopkins addressed attendees before answering questions on a wide range of topics including transport and infrastructure, Brexit and the proposed waste to energy incinerator at Marley.
Kris Hopkins commented: “The event provided an excellent platform for businesses to network with each other and I congratulate Keighley BID Manager Paul Howard for putting it together. It was terrific to see so many prominent business people in attendance.
“Keighley College, as hosts for the evening, have a strong offering for local businesses, and this was a good opportunity to showcase their first class facilities.
“It is vital that we promote our businesses and provide strong opportunities for our young people. Bringing local firms and the College together in this way helps towards achieving that aspiration.”
