Leeds based contemporary dance company Möbius Dance returns to Bradford on with the world premiere of two poetic and thought-provoking new works – Vibrant Matter and Within Each-Other.
Wilhelmina Ojanen’s stage work, Vibrant Matter, explores how memories and emotions affect our bodies. Gianluca Vincentini’s screen dance, With Each-Other uses up close personal physicality exposing the subtle dynamics of power.
Two new atmospheric musical compositions have been created for this programme in close dialogue with the choreographers and movement material devised in collaboration with the company dancers.
Founded in 2016 by Artistic Director Gianluca Vincentini, Möbius Dance supports and nurtures talented up and coming dance artists and choreographers both creatively and practically. As well as producing new work like Vibrant Matter and With Each-Other, they break down the barriers faced by many dance artists by offering quality employment prospects.
Gianluca Vincentini, Artistic Director of Möbius Dance said ‘Our new mixed bill, Vibrant Matter and Within Each-Other, is a poetic yet thought-provoking evening of dance which focuses on the choices we make and our impact on others. The works encourage the audiences to reflect on the body, what they value and where they place their intentions for humanities future.’
