One of Yorkshire biggest bakery brands – Regal Foods Plc, is expanding it’s warehousing capacity at its Bradford headquarters in Wallis Street.
The company has seen tremendous growth over the last few years, and has become a staple Asian household name with their traditional Asian snacks and bakery goods.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, work on the new 18,000 square foot warehouse had temporarily been put on hold, but now builders are back on the site and looking to complete in the coming weeks.

Once finished, the new warehouse will provide additional storage space for raw materials, packaging and finished goods and will create some 20 new jobs.
The expansion project in turn frees up space within the existing 15,000 square foot warehouse, enabling Regal to expand it’s existing manufacturing arm to bring new and exciting products into development.
Regal Foods Plc operations director Absar Younis said: “We are very pleased with and excited about our new warehouse extension, as it is the first of its kind for Regal Foods. The 20 new jobs it creates will be highly beneficial to the local community of Bradford.
“Our warehouse is a key part of our exciting 2020 business plans. Besides expanding our storage, it allows us to improve the range and quantity of our product selection.
“I’m very proud of our team as the company’s continuous growth over the years, which has allowed us to build this new facility, and thereby, create new products for our customers to enjoy.”
Established in 2001, Regal produces a mix of products from traditional Asian snacks and drinks to British favourites. It supplies its products to a number of retailers across the country – including Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Sainsbury’s – and exports to the EU, Scandinavia and the USA.
The company started out distributing Regal Foods products through small ethnic grocery stores. However, they soon learned their foods had a much broader appeal than first imagined. The British public was keen to explore new and unusual food types, and Regal had become a well-known name for everyone.
In a very dynamic few years, Regal has demonstrated the ability to establish huge growth both in its European and Worldwide markets. It is a prominent exporter and world-class overseas producer. It is now a multi million pounds global business.
