Britain’s prime minister is being urged to provide proper guidance on face coverings.
The move comes after Boris Johnson said that people in England should be wearing face masks inside shops to help prevent the spread of coronavirus; but Cabinet Minister Michael Gove said that face coverings should not be mandatory in England.
This has left conflicting messages and a great deal of confusion. Now the Labour party has demanded urgent clarity from the government on this issue.
Mr. Johnson said that the government will decide in the next few days if tools of enforcement are needed.
Face coverings are used in a bid to help prevent spreading coronavirus to others.
Currently wearing a face covering is compulsory on public transport across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and the Welsh government imposes measures from 27th of July.
In Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon has already rolled out wearing face coverings in public as a mandatory requirement as of 10th July.
